The Junior League of Duluth is excited to begin a new signature project, Kids in the Kitchen, a community health and wellness program focused on physical activity and nutrition. This summer, as part of Kids in the Kitchen, join us at the new Playfront Park on the Bay for "Saturdays in the Park," where you'll join local fitness instructors for a fun family workout. The cost is free, and a $5/adult suggested donation will help support Kids in the Kitchen and future Saturdays in the Park.
The Junior League of Duluth also seeks organizations interested in creating a container garden--we have 7 Sydney's Green Garden systems ready to go thanks to a generous donation from Scott Vesterstein of Fitger's. Grow fresh produce this summer anywhere in a small space--nothing helps kids and families to eat more veggies than growing them your own.
